This is a typical view of the trail. Fortunately you can cool off during the summer by lounging in the shadow of the pines, but don't rest too long because the insects can be inquizative. The trail is quite wide, so there isn't as much of a danger of getting bit by ticks as on other trails, which seem to be not as well cut. I believe this trail was originally meant as a road for vehicles, which is why there is so much space on the path. |
