Creek II

Another image of the creek running through Bandelier. I imagine this must have been the source
of usable water of the ancients. Also, I imagine, like at Taos Pueblo, the water must have been
sacred. In fact, in New Mexico, water is quite rare. It should be treated as sacred.

Unfortunately, due to antiquated laws, as well as emphasis on "use it if you got it", a great
amount of water is wasted on things such as golf courses and football courses. Disturbingly, some
of the Indian reservations now misuse water as easily as the Anglos.
